Well, what a surprise this is !…Austrian cavestompers tackle The Meteors (ok, Clapham South Escalators)…This is a great example of the Trash crossover although it’s usually the Rockabillies/Psychobillies taking a trip into Garageland rather than 60’s revivalists straying into ‘Billy’ territory and this works..Wild Evel and his gang do justice to this classic tune although I’d hazard a guess they didn’t know it was The Meteors (very thinly disguised)…..The A-side is a typical garage fuzzfest that doesn’t stray too far from the formula….All good though and totally recommended for the B-Side alone !
