In the early 90’s France was a hotbed of Garage Punk bands and among the best of these were Thee Gloomies from Brittany, influenced in the main by 60’s Punk and the likes of Sweden’s ‘Crimson Shadows’ they released only one 7″ EP but they did get to England in 1993 and record an albums worth of tracks at Liam Watson’s ‘Toerag Studio’…What you have here are those recordings, so if your thing is wild sounding, snotty punk ? This is probably for you…..Couple of covers such as ‘Hang Up’ (The Wailers), ‘Night Of The Sadist’ (Larry & the Bluenotes), ‘Mirror Cracked’ (Gravedigger V) set the tone.
